Appfium is an independent mobile app studio based in Germany. We design, build, and ship iOS and Android apps — both our own products and apps for clients — using React Native, Swift, Kotlin, and TypeScript.

Does Appfium work with external clients?

Yes. Alongside our in-house apps, we partner with founders and teams on iOS and Android app development — from first prototype to App Store and Play Store launch, and ongoing maintenance.

What technologies does Appfium use?

Our primary stack is React Native with TypeScript for cross-platform apps. We use native Swift/SwiftUI and Kotlin/Jetpack Compose when a product requires deep platform integration such as widgets, Live Activities, or platform-specific APIs.

Where is Appfium based?

Appfium UG (haftungsbeschränkt) is headquartered in Berlin, Germany, founded in 2025. We work with clients worldwide — on-site in Berlin, fully remote, or a mix of both.

Can you take over an existing codebase?

Yes. We regularly audit and continue work on existing React Native, Swift, and Kotlin codebases. We start with a technical review so you know exactly what state the project is in before any new work begins.

Who owns the code and the intellectual property?

You do. Full IP and source code ownership transfers to you. We deliver the code in your GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket repository and can hand over App Store Connect and Google Play Console accounts under your organization.

Do you work on-site, remote, or hybrid?

All three. We're based in Berlin and available for kickoff workshops, sprint reviews, or ongoing on-site collaboration. For most engagements a hybrid setup works best — occasional on-site, regular remote.

How do you handle App Store and Play Store launch?

End-to-end. We prepare screenshots, metadata, ASO keyword research, privacy manifests, and handle review responses. We've published four apps in-house so the process is well-rehearsed.

What happens after launch?

You have three options: take the app fully in-house, continue with us on a monthly retainer for maintenance and iteration, or a mix of the two. iOS and Android platforms evolve constantly — we keep apps healthy through OS updates, SDK deprecations, and store policy changes.
