What does Appfium do?

Appfium is an independent mobile app studio based in Germany. We design, build, and ship iOS and Android apps, both our own products and apps for clients, using React Native, Swift, Kotlin, and TypeScript.

Appfium has shipped 5 apps on the App Store and Google Play: Shelfify, FestMates, Einbürgerungstest Trainer, Gahshomar گاهشمار, Arzesh.

Does Appfium work with external clients?

Yes. Alongside our in-house apps, we partner with founders and teams on iOS and Android app development, from first prototype to App Store and Play Store launch, and ongoing maintenance.

What technologies does Appfium use?

Our primary stack is React Native with TypeScript for cross-platform apps. We use native Swift/SwiftUI and Kotlin/Jetpack Compose when a product requires deep platform integration such as widgets, Live Activities, or platform-specific APIs.

Where is Appfium based?

Appfium UG (haftungsbeschränkt) is headquartered in Berlin, Germany, founded in 2025. We work with clients worldwide: on-site in Berlin, fully remote, or a mix of both.

How do you handle patient data and GDPR?

Contact and appointment request forms are built to collect only what's needed, store it securely, and give patients clear consent language, in line with GDPR requirements for German and EU practices. Any patient record system beyond simple contact forms is handled through a compliant, encrypted setup.

Can we use one of these designs, or does it have to be custom?

Both are on the table. These concepts are here to show the range of styles we can deliver, not a fixed catalog. If one of them is close to what you have in mind, we can adapt it to your practice's branding, services, and content as a faster starting point. If you want something built entirely from scratch around your own ideas, we do that too. Either way, what you get is genuinely yours, not a locked template.
